PHILOSOPHY
AND GOALS
Saving the Carpathian buffalo population from extinction and human indifference has become the goal of German ecologist Michel Jacobi, to which he has dedicated more than 10 years of his life.
He settled in Transcarpathia, built several farms on the Pereslip meadow, and founded an organization for the preservation of Carpathian agrobiodiversity, which handles the restoration of the buffalo population and their reintroduction into the wild.
Michel cares not only for the buffaloes but also for the brown Carpathian cows and the Hutsul horses of the Hutan breed, trying to preserve and restore their populations.
Michel is assisted by local residents and volunteers from countries like Canada, France, and Germany. It is thanks to this collective support that the ecologist succeeds in protecting these unique populations.

Michel is happy to invite anyone interested to his farm. This incredible adventure will give you the chance to discover unique places, animals, and people of the old Carpathians, as well as learn to work with livestock and in the field. You will be part of the everyday life of a wonderful family and get to know a new culture.
